Hi, all. Many of you may already know this, some may not. The other day, a fellow Zoner told me that if you called LG directly, they would send you a Braille manual for your phone. I had my doubts about this, but finally tracked down their number, and called. They do indeed have Braile manuals for their phones, and send them out at no charge. So, if any of you have an LG phone, and want to know more about it and how to make it work, I'd say call them. I think they may also have large print ones, but I'm not sure on that, since I didn't ask about it. Here is the number directly to LG customer service, so you don't have to track it down, as I did.
LG Customer Service: 800-793-8896
Hope that helps some of you.
I appreciate your good service. even though I'm not having LG phone and here in India, we don't have much providers for CDMA.
Raaj.
I was able to find the manual for my LG phone on the Verizon website, but truthfully, I didn't find it helpful. So just because they have a Braille manual doesn't mean it will be helpful. I wouldn't have been able to figure out how to do a lot of things with this phone or the one I had previously without step by step instructions I received on the LG email list.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing this.
yah thanks for the number i will call in a bit. i just got the Env3. How do you sign up for the LG email list. Is that the one on lgmobilephones.com or some where else.
Send blank email with the word subscribe in the subject line to BlindusersLGVXPhones-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
oh ok thanks i will do that. Great to know.
I tried subscribing to the list, but it says the group doesn't exist. I don't know if I did anything wrong, but I copied and pasted the address, and put subscribe in the subject line, as directed, so...
I'm trying to get any tips I can for the LG EnV2. I'd like to know what's all accessible, and other helpful tips.
I'm sure that's the correct address. Maybe the group is no longer in existence.
i did the same thing and have not heard back yet. if the group no longer eggsists would i get an email back saying that.
Yeah, I got one right away after I did that. I copied and pasted the name, then put subscribe in the subject line, and pretty much right away I got an email saying I was trying to subscribe to a group that doesn't exist
oh ok i guess that answers my question. Thanks, i wonder why i did not get a message saying that sent to me. i did the exact same thing.
That's too bad because it was a very helpful group.
Oh, it stil exists, and is high traffic as heck. But I couldn't join it by following Becky's suggestion, either. That didnt work for me, though I tried several times. What I had to do was go on the actual yahoo groups site, and in the box where it says, search for groups, type in something like "Blind LG users." Then it was the only group that came up. I clicked to join, and had to write a comment to the moderator. For about five days, it showed my membership was pending approval. Whoever the moderator is finally got around to approving me, cuz now I'm on it, and it's got traffic like you wouldn't believe. So, if you get subscribed, either put it in digest mode, or maybe it's own folder.
I'm glad to hear it still exists. I don't know why they made it so difficult to join because my suggestion used to work. But thanks for the update. Maybe you could ask on the list why signing up is so difficult?
Ah ok, thanks Alicia.
yah thanks i will search it on the yahoo groups list.
ok i found the group now yahoo makes you "enter the code you see below" lol so requires sited assistance or having yahoo contact you to help do it for you.
Or requires Firefox Webvisum.
yes that too if you want to use Firefox. i have thought about trying that browser..
i was approved to the group later on thursday. and started getting the daily digest messages on Friday morning.
